Today we had a routine Dr. visit. We were able to ask her some questions and have a good dialogue about our little one. The highlight of the visit was being able to hear our little one's heartbeat loud and clear.
We continue to think about how much investigation/follow-up we want to pursue. We vacillate between wanting to gain as much knowledge as we can about the future but yet still trusting completely in God. As a nurse I feel the need to be armed with as much information as possible. I welcome any opportunity to view my little one and a glimpse of how he/she is growing. I see it as a bonding opportunity and a chance to witness the miracle of life. Yet all the while knowing that with any ultrasound comes the potential of bad news and more waiting.
We have both been so touched by all the words we have received in the past week. We continue to meditate on many things. One verse being Psalm 139:16 ...All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. v.23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
